County man dies on W.Va. Turnpike

A Bland County man was killed last week on the West Virginia Turnpike after crashing his pickup into a tractor-trailer, police said.
A Bland County man was killed last week on the West Virginia Turnpike after crashing his pickup into a tractor-trailer, police said.
According to the West Virginia State Police, 60-year-old Gary Edward McGrady of Rocky Gap died on Thursday after the approximately 10 p.m. collision near
Ghent.
McGrady was driving a Ford F150 southbound on Interstate 77 when he ran underneath the left rear corner of the tractor-trailer, police said. The semi’s
driver wasn’t injured.
Both southbound lanes were blocked until the left lane was reopened at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, police said.
No additional information was available on the crash.
A private memorial service for McGrady will be held at a later date. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate is in charge of the arrangements.—Staff
